Argentina and Uruguay FIFA wants to co-host the World Cup 2030. Incidentally both these neighboring countries have met in the final of the World Cup.

In 1930, Uruguay, who went on to become a two-time Olympic champion, defeating Argentina 4-2 in the match held at the Centenario Stadium in Montevideo, in front of over 80,000 spectators.
