Atletico Capable of Breaking the Hegemony Barca and Madrid

Atletico Madrid's sporting director, Jose Luis Perez Caminero hopes his team will now break the hegemony of Barcelona and Real Madrid in La Liga.

In the last decade only one La Liga titles are not leaning at the Santiago Bernabeu or Camp Nou as Valencia won the trophy in 2004. Some figures in Spain has expressed concern over the situation in La Liga and wanted a reform of the top football country.

"There are many good squad behind Madrid and Barcelona. In some points bipolarity should be broken and I hope that Atletico could enter into competition," said Caminero.

"I do not understand about the word failure. This is a difficult year for the club because we are experiencing changes at various levels. We do the work and bring in quality players who will give their best," he continued.
