Reveals Reason Eto'o Join Everton

Samuel Eto'o admitted that he had contacted by various clubs after his contract with Chelsea expires. The peak occurred in the last ten days until Eto'o had to travel a lot.

Eto'o then dropped the option to fellow Premier League club Everton. One of the factors behind the decision are the words Everton manager Roberto Martinez, who can convince Eto'o.

"I feel comfortable during a meeting with Roberto Martinez. We have a lot in common. Everton could accommodate my football philosophy, including his game," said Eto'o told BT Sport.

Eto'o also said that he was very impressed with the style of Martinez. He can be inspired by the words of Martinez during negotiations.

"In the last ten days I have to go and talk to some coaches. During that time, the person who most inspired me was Martinez. Assured me he would be able to contribute."
