Guardiola Disappointed With Schweinsteiger Red Card

Bayern Munich coach , Josep Guardiola , argued that the red card received by Bastian Schweinsteiger against Manchester United is not fair .

In the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals , held at Old Trafford , Schweinsteiger sent off in the 90th minute after receiving a second yellow card as a result of a breach of Wayne Rooney . The German national team midfielder looked disappointed . He even accuses Rooney Diving .

Guardiola was also disappointed with the decision. However , he did not want to engage in further debate related to the incident . However, he admitted that he had asked the card issue on Carlos Velasco Carballo , the referee who led the course of the game.

" I spoke to the referee and he gave his explanation . I have to respect his decision , " he said as quoted by Sky Sports .

Then when asked if he agreed with the decision , Guardiola replied no . " He is a very good referee . He led the game with a very nice , but the red kertu not fair , " he said .
