Dani Alves urges Barcelona to Play Smarter

FC Barcelona defender Dani Alves, urging her team to play smarter tactics employed by new coach, Gerardo Martino at the Nou Camp.

Since the beginning of the season dealing with the Blaugrana in 2013/14, Martino tried to bring about a change in his game. Argentine coach wants Barca are better able to suppress opponents, both when attacking or defensive.

However, the application of new tactics seem not fully able to do Barca, as shown in the first round match against Ajax Amsterdam in the Champions League. It's like Alves acknowledged in an interview with Barca TV.

"We have to be more intelligent (cons Ajax in the first round.) If we are not able to hit when attacking, then maybe we need to step back and organize the defense better," said the Brazilian international defender.

"We left a lot of loopholes in the back and the opponent could have hurt us. We've talked about this before the second half, and finally there is a change."
