Popularity level of Real Madrid in Spain Down

La Liga giants, Real Madrid suffered a decline in popularity in Spain. They lost weight rival in the league, Barcelona in terms of popularity.

In a survey conducted by a marketing research company called Ikerfel, Los Blancos are 15 points ahead of Barca in terms of unpopularity. This figure is up 11 points from a similar survey conducted in 2011 ago.

El Real are top of the list of the most hated teams with 55 percent or the percentage increase of four percent from 51 percent in 2011. Barcelona is in second place with 40 percent, equal to the percentage two years ago. Two clubs below them are Atletico Madrid and Sevilla with 27 percent to 26 percent.
