Chef Ferran Adria says that he talked to former Barcelona coach, Josep Guardiola, the Barcelona 0-4 defeat of Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final first leg, at the Allianz Arena. According to him, on the occasion, Guardiola said that the difference between the two sides in the game is motivation.
"Motivation is the key in life when you get to a certain level. My dinner with Guardiola on the day after the (first leg between Bayern and Barca) and he told me that the difference is motivation," said Adria.
"The team has won two trophies one European Cup, one FIFA World Cup, and God knows how many Champions League trophy," he added.
According to Adria, Guardiola also said that providing the opportunity for an opponent to get a corner kick is an indicator of a team's motivation.
