Detained Poland, Gerrard Disappointed


England captain Steven Gerrard was arrested disappointed after England series 1-1 (1-0) by Poland in Warsaw in 2014 World Cup qualifier.


England had the lead after striker Wayne Rooney's first goal tore Poland in minute 31. But Poland managed to equalize in the 70th minute after a header from defender Kamil Glik incapable by goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Steven Gerrard, in a press conference after the match at the Stadium Narodow, said he was disappointed the results of this series. He considers, England was able to master the game at least until Rooney scored. After that he and his colleagues failed to keep the game.

"We let too many Polish players controlled the ball, and we were not able to master it," said Gerrard. "So, these results are disappointing."

On the condition of the grass in the stadium Narodow is too wet, not too dizzy Gerrard. "That's not a good reason to analyze these results," said the Liverpool player.

Kamil Glik goal in the 70th minute broke a target rate is pegged full England team in away games. In contrast, England manager Roy Hodgson said 1-1 draw in a match at home to Poland is not a bad result. "Series 1-1 is a fair result," said Hodgson.
