Harold "Harry" Kewell (born 22 September 1978 in Sydney, New South Wales), is the Australian professional football (soccer) midfielder who plays for the Turkish Süper Lig with Galatasaray.Internationally he has received 45 caps and scored 13 goals, while playing for the national team of Australia. During his time at Westfields Sports High School, Kewell played at representative level for both school and club competition. Big Break (1993)

On November 2, 2008, Kewell scored the 4th league in home win over Gaziantepspor Galatasaray, after a week full of excessive speculation in the Turkish media about the injury. After medical consultation in Australia, announced on December 12, 2008 that Kewell will need surgery to repair an inguinal hernia. Operation has been scheduled for December 15, 2008.
FIFA World Cup 2006 In November 2005, Australia qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup held in Germany. Kewell is an important part of Australian squad for the Asian Cup. Kewell scored 9 international goals for Australia, scored the 4th in a 4-0 victory over Thailand in the Asian Cup. After the group stage, in the quarter-final against Japan, Kewell has been sent to the field to replace Mark Viduka in the 61st minute, in a 1-1 draw. A penalty kick is needed to break the deadlock and Kewell's first penalty shot for Australia halted. Australia eventually losing in a shootout and out of Asia Cup. 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualification Kewell did not play well in Australia's first two matches against Qatar and China. Kewell was made captain for the Australian qualifier against Iraq at Suncorp Stadium on June 1, 2008. He scored the only goal with a header in the 47th minute as Australia won 1-0.Kewell also scored the third goal against Qatar in Australia's 3-1 win to put them into the final qualifying round. In World Cup qualifying warm-up match against Holland, he scored a penalty won by Joshua Kennedy. Australia went on to win 2-1 with Harry Kewell played an important part of the national team in the first half. Australia then played Uzbekistan, winning 2-0 with Kewell scored a penalty.
